CMJ Update (Kevin Devine and The Goddamn Band)

It was one big dance party at the Highline Ballroom when Moneen, Kevin Devine and Saves the Day showed up to play before the Perez Hilton party. Below are the pictures from Kevin's set. >MORE

Attending day shows at the Knitting Factory turned out to be the most productive part of CMJ. With three floors, the Tap Bar, Old Office and the Main Stage, I was able to pick and choose from dozens of bands playing. At 3 p.m, too many drunken indie rock fans were moshing at the Main Stage so I left to test my luck in the Old Office. Same situation so once again I moved down a floor and was floored by the band playing. Jared Mees and the Grown Children (myspace.com/jaredmees) is a folk rock indie... >MORE

CMJ Day 1 (10/21/08)

At the CMJ kick off party hosted by Tommy Hilfiger, as per CMJ custom, a heavyweight and a few obscure indie bands came together to start the festival off. The Click Clack Boom (myspace.com/hohohosound), The Young Lords (myspace.com/younglords) and Louis XIV (myspace.com/louisxiv) all put on solid performances. Photos are below!
